When Jasper was just a week old, I was told by a midwife that babies love routines, particularly when going to bed. So I started to read him “Dizzy Days†by Dr Seuss every time I put him to bed. As crazy as this sounds I read this same book to him 4 times a day and every time he gets a giggle out of it. Amazing! I decided to read to him in front of the mirror so that he can see my facial expressions while sitting on my lap; this along with tapping on the pages of the book really got him interested & focused on each page.
We tested the theory of not reading him his favouite book before bed and you wouldn’t believe it but he didn’t settle to sleep straight away. Thank you Dr Seuss!
